James M. “Jimmy” Cox, Jr. Joined Lee Cole to form Cox & Cole, Attorneys at Law in 2012. Jimmy graduated from Wofford College in 1971 and worked for several years at the Department of Social Services in Charleston. He later attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated in 1977.

Jimmy has worked as an attorney in Williamston since 1977. He has represented clients in a wide variety of legal matters in Federal and State Courts throughout South Carolina. He served on the Anderson County Council from 1984 to 1989 and served as Chairman from 1986 to 1989.

Jimmy also served as Judge of the Williamston Municipal Court for 13 years. He is married to Kay Smith Cox and has one daughter, Maxi Cox. He is an active member of Grace United Methodist Church where he has held many leadership  positions.
